HTC has been experimenting with the looks of phones and HTC myTouch 3G is clearly a clean and neat design from HTC. It doesn't exactly look like a high end phone, but it has a shiny plastic design that doesn't make the phone look cheap. The phone is not completely flat and the contoured shape actually helps in holding the phone well. Below the large 3.2\" capacitive touch screen, there are several hardware buttons just like any other android mobile phone. The display is good in terms of viewing images and text, but responsiveness is not pretty great. There is a USB port for charging, but myTouch 3G lacks 3.5mm headset jack and you should only use the USB headset that comes with the device.

Basic telephony operations can be performed easily with your HTC myTouch 3G and settings can be easily customized. With this touch phone, virtual keyboard is the only means to enter text and with amply spaced buttons, HTC has once again proved that its virtual keyboard is one of the best. Web browsing experience is good with Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth support. There is no flash support and hence, some of the websites may not load fully. Integration with gmail is good and you can't expect anything less from an android 1.5 mobile phone.

At the back, there is a 3.5 megapixel camera with autofocus which is really a bummer with this phone. The camera performs very poorly in low light conditions. It has geo tagging, but video at low resolution is not so great. HTC myTouch 3G is an average multimedia phone, but if you are used to entertainment rarely, you won't find it disappointing.
