The HTC Touch 3G has a beautiful 2.8 inch TFT resistive touch screen display with a resolution of 240x320 pixels and the ability to display 65k colors. The phone comes with hand writing recognition to make writing easy, and also a 5-way navigation key to make navigation on the phone easier.
The HTC Touch 3G has no 3.5mm audio jack, this means you have to use the bundled headphones to listen to your favourite music. To help you get all your music on the phone, the HTC Touch 3G has a 256 MB of ROM and 192 MB of RAM. But if you think this is not enough storage for you, you can extent the storage capacity using a microSD card.
The HTC Touch 3G features GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA up to 7.2 Mbps, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, and a miniUSB v2.0 port for PC connectivity and charging.
The HTC Touch 3G has an 3.15MP autofocus camera which has the ability to take pictures with a maximum resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. The HTC Touch 3G also records video at VGA resolution. For video calling junkies, there is unfortunately no front-facing camera, or secondary camera.
The HTC Touch 3G runs on a 528 MHz ARM 11 processor and has a dedicated Adreno 200 GPU. The setup is housed on a Qualcomm MSM7225 chipset. The HTC Touch 3G runs Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional as the OS. The phone also has GPS and support for A-GPS.
To support all this, the HTC Touch 3G is given a standard 1100 mAh Li-ion battery which gives a standby time of up to 450 hours and a talk time of up to 6 hours 30 minutes.";
$review2 = "After the introduction of a few successful touch phones, HTC expanded its market share of touch smart phones with the introduction of HTC Touch 3G. The original Touch phone was upgraded and 3G support was included to introduce a brand new phone to the market. The interesting characteristic of Touch 3G is that it is affordable and not too cheap.
HTC Touch 3G is a superbly designed phone and HTC has given a lot of importance in making the phone very pocket friendly. The curved edges provide a smooth finish and fine grip on the phone. This time, HTC has used plastic for the build of Touch 3G, but the finish looks metallic and hot. Those who are bored with black smart phones will love Touch 3G that comes in blue, brown and gold color tones apart from black.
The touch screen is a rather smallish screen according to modern smart phone standards and it measures 2.8\" diagonally. Below the touch screen, there are mechanical keys along with a five way navigational keypad. It also includes a stylus to operate touch options more easily when you have big fingers.
HTC has not left out any features in HTC Touch 3G and it supports all. Running on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, the phone works without any notable sluggishness with a MSM7225 528Mhz processor. HTC has included TouchFlo 2D interface. There are no 3D animations this time, but that is a better decision for an affordable phone that doesn't support a lot of horse power.
A 3.2 megapixel camera is the only thing that is worth mentioning at the rear end of the phone. Audio player is pretty good, but you only have to use USB port for headphones as there is no 3.5mm audio jack. Video player is good for viewing videos, but with a small screen, you won't be expecting much of performance in the multimedia side. With Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G support, HTC Touch 3G is certainly a great phone to browse the internet. However, if you connect to internet all the time and wish to browse a lot, you may have to choose a phone with a bigger screen.
